My Mail Sorter

I saw this Mail Sorter featured on Ucreate awhile back.

I thought it was a great idea. So I made one myself!

With a few changes to suit my style :)

I'm excited to feel more organized with my mail. Next post: My latest quiet book page! I just need to do some embroidery.

Super gift idea

I love this idea from My Little Gems. I am going to tweak it a bit for a Christmas gift to my sister-in-law. Is is too early to start on Christmas? I just couldn't help but think of her. I try to get as much of Christmas done before December, and besides, I still won't start on it for a while.

Storage Cubes

I love these different tutorials on easy as pie DIY storage cubes that are so cute! As we are still in the student-small-living-space era of life, I think these are FABULOUS! The tutorial can be found over at Out of Chaos!

My Ornament Wreath

I realize this is after the holidays, but life was just too crazy during the season. Here is my Ornament wreath.
I ran out of the big ornaments and tried to make it look tapered as it went back up to the top. Maybe next year when there are ornaments at the dollar store I'll just add some more to finish it up. Or maybe not. We'll see.

Finger Puppets

We finally swapped our quiet book pages and everyone's turned out so cute. There were some really clever ideas.

So as promised, here are the finger puppets I did for my Noah's Ark Page. I was very happy with how they turned out and even happier that W loves them!

Countdown Blocks

The materials for this project were a gift from my mom (thanks Mom!) and I went to Not So Idle Hands to just refresh how I wanted to do this. Instead of edging the corners with khaki paint, I just took a paper towel and did one light swipe with white paint over the whole block (it dried super fast). Then I sanded the corners/edges with fine sandpaper.

And whala!
